This list assumes clean running water and cooking fuel such as gas or electric. The list is just for friends and under construction. Send ideas and thoughts if you have them.

Cooking Supplies

  • Oils of choice (I recommend extra virgin olive)
  • Cooking fats (such as butter, margarine/lard, etc)
  • Ionized cooking salt (a couple of cylinders)
  • A bit of browns & white sugars

Basic Foods

  • Flours
    Yes, whole wheat, b/c nutrients
  • Dried beans, peas, & lentils
    Try to get get mixed or make your own later
  • Brown rice
    Yes, brown, b/c nutrients
  • Oats and/or cereals of choice
  • Dried whole-wheat or vegetable pastas

  • Various nuts (if not allergic)
    Bulk foods is better; salted for snacks & unsalted for cooking
  • Nut butters & possibly nut pouders
  • Canned tomato sauces
    I actually prefer canned whole tomatos to make the sauce myself
  • Other canned veggies, corn, etc
  • Bananas (freeze)
  • Parmesan (freeze)
  • Actual garlic (freeze some)
  • Any other feezable vegetables & fruites (or freeze yourself)

Basic Food Products

  • Desired stocks & canned creams (e.g. mushroom & chicken)

Supplementation

  • Protein powder (I prefer pea-based)
  • High-quality vitamin D & B12

Creature comforts

  • Cinnamon
  • Instant coffee
  • Teas

Other tools

  • White vinegar (cleaning & cooking)
  • Dish soap (cleaning)
